Right before crazy Sinulog Sunday, things started to get crazier, messier and merrier at the LEE Jeans DIY denim workshop held at The Penthouse where cans of paint, rivets, labels and other embellishments abound. The workshop was to highlight the brand's 125 Years of craftsmanship and with their campaign tagline "Stay Curious," everyone was given a pair of jeans to work on as a blank canvas and the opportunity to experiment with different ways on how to personalize their pair to aptly showcase their individual style. (whew! haha!) To do so, they provided 3 working stations- Dry Process, Wet Process and Finishing (embellishment/branding) where everyone can experiement with sandpaper, cutters, scrapers, paints, studs, rivets, etc.

and because i am all for ripped jeans, i ripped my pair a little and added a few rivets on the back pockets and and hot-fix glass crystals on the front. still, it wasn't too ripped for me so i asked my sister to DIY it a bit more when i got home. see here. the event was quite timely as everyone was excited to wear their creations to the Sinulog grand parade happening the next day. to know more of LEE Jeans Philippines' newest campaign, read here and if you're itching to see what the Cebuano artists and other guests created, mouse over to LEE Philippines' Facebook page here or Instagram account here.
