BEAUTY BLOG: Shiseido Ultimune 7-Day Challenge

my skin care regimen, i have to say, is the most taken for granted aspect in addressing the needs of my total well-being. i didn't really take it seriously until i was 26, an age that is considered a bit late when talking about skin care since experts say that when you hit 20, that's when you start looking for skin care products that work for you. 

quite honestly, the very thing that prompted me to start addressing my skin issues was when i started noticing fine lines along the outer corners of my eyes. they weren't that noticeable yet but we all know crow's feet are just beyond perplexing and depressing. that's when i also realized that the current product i was using wasn't really doing its job. so i ditched my old one, went skin care shopping, used one night cream after another until last year when i received a Shiseido Benefiance range from BDJ box and their Ibuki range a few months after. I was hooked ever since!

I tried this serum on the night i received it, after my toner and before my moisturizer because the leaflet suggests that you use it before your other creams as this helps enhance its effects. but because i wanted to see just how effective this is without my Vissionaire skin corrector, i used it alone for 7 days and i gotta say, im quite happy with the results!

my skin feels softer, is more supple and even more radiant even after 7 days! i love that the consistency is very light, it doesn't give you that oily, sticky and heavy feeling like how some serums feel and is easily absorbed by the skin. it has a light refreshing scent that reminds me of Doublemint chewing gum for some reason. haha. i use it even around the eye area and i'm quite impressed with how it addressed my developing dark circles. i sleep fairly late (like 4AM late) and i expected a lot of breakouts and other skin imperfections but surprisingly, i didn't have to deal with any of that. 

no primer, no foundation, no powder. just lipstick ;)

its just been 7 days and i already see a significant change in my skin and i love it! i cannot wait to see further results!

ps. im using 50mm lens and camera is on timer (my remote is out of battery,) took me ages to get decent shots and these are all that i could come up with. cannot wait for the sister to come home and play the role of my official blog photographer again. haha!
