I can't believe Summer's coming to a close. It seems only yesterday when I went legit crazy hoarding one-piece swimwear only to realise that Summer's nearly over and it's now time for my 3-year-old to start school this June. How time flies!
The Summer months flew by so quickly, I didn't have enough time to frolic and bake and toast but I'm not complaining. Cebu badly needs rain what with dams and rivers drying up, and there's just no point praying for more Summer heat just to hit the beach. Besides, Summer is just a state of mind, right?
But let's all be honest.. it's much better to visit your favorite beach when it's hot out and not raining, amiright? So please excuse me while go on a little sepanx spiel and post Summer photos here on the blog. Haha! Having said that, here's a beach outfit taken a few days before the summer months officially started and before my sister left for the US. Quite possibly the most appropriate sendoff for her because, 10°C NJ weather.
If white is the color that is synonymous to Summer in my vocabulary, maxi dresses are fast becoming my go-to beach outfit. Not only are they chic and comfortable, they're also very easy to wear, easy to pull off and easier to get out of. Ha! Whether you're wearing one as a beach coverup or a dress in itself, maxi dresses are must-haves that every woman needs to own. From pretty florals to minimalist solid colors to vibrant aztec prints, maxi dresses are anything but boring, so the next time you pack for another beach getaway, don't forget to throw in one together with your wide-brimmed hat and oversized sunnies ;)
So.. I will just leave this here to tide me over until my next beach adventure when the husband comes home ;) Counting the days!
Have a lovely weekend ahead, loves!
