Off-the-shoulder anything made it big this year because they're a good update and upgrade to anyone's closet. From tops, dresses and even swimwear, the off-the-shoulder trend was, and still is, off the charts and I don't see why it shouldn't be the case because most women love their shoulders. Yes, girl, flaunt that collarbone!
In contrast to other popular trends this year, off-the-shoulder anything flatters a wide range of body types and I have come to realised that they make a good addition to my list of personal style staples.
While I am a staunch supporter of the quintessential oversized button-down shirt (I have more than 5 in my closet. hey, don't judge!), off-the-shoulder tops add a fresh spin to my everyday basics and mommy uniform outfits.
Off-the-shoulder dresses come in different styles and in different fabrics but my favorite has got to be one in a loose silhouette and made from cotton-blend material. It is so because they are very easy to style and are way more comfortable. I also love the little flounce they give when worn unlike those that are made from jersey material that just droops down in an unartistic way. Or maybe it's just me?
This DressLily off-the-shoulder dress is a new favorite and like all my other new favorites, this was submitted to heavy rotation last month. I recently wore this to a beach trip with the family because what better way to ace resort chic dressing than by whipping out a pretty off-the-shoulder, right?
Adding more styles of off-the-shoulder dresses in different prints to my closet this month to take advantage of DressLily's crazy November sale!
Also, how can you not love that bow-knot sleeves detail??
Blush, off-the-shoulder and pretty bows. I'm sold!
